Kihei Farmers’ Market

Taking over the lot opposite the Kihei Canoe Club, the Kihei Farmers’ Market is open for business all day Monday to Friday.

Prices are reasonable, especially by Maui standards, and locals make up much of the clientele, which is always a good sign.

Shop for mangoes and passion fruit in the summer, gigantic avocados in fall, as well as pineapples, papaya, salad greens and tomatoes throughout the year.

There are also Asian specialty food vendors and stands for tourist arts and crafts. Afterwards you could head to Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice, which is just next door.

Yee’s Orchard & Fruit Stand

This farm on South Kihei Road has been in business for more than seven decades, and is a must during the height of the mango season between May and September.

Golden glow mangoes are the specialty at Yee’s Orchard & Fruit Stand, but depending on the time of year you’ll also find coconuts, papayas, guavas, apple bananas and the like.

There’s also occasionally fresh fish and some homemade goodies like mango bread, mango chutney, pickled mango and mango jam. The stand is open any day of the week except Monday and Friday.
